So here is what I found.

Looking at the network screen on the printer. I have the IPV4 address set to 192.168.0.10. I don't see any place for me to set the subnet mask.

I logged into the router and looked at all the current active devices and there is 192.168.0.10 listed at all. I see my phone. my computer and my printer. I also see my sisters phone. computer and printer.

I also see two connections (192.168.0.7 and 192.168.0.8) which have no hostname so I am not sure what they are.

I figured out the two that don't have a hostname. They are probably a couple of camera's we  have to keep an eye on the dog.

Something else I was going to mention was no where have I seen anywhere I was able to set the SSID of my network. I tried changing the printer to obtain an IP from DHCP and I then saw where I could set the subnet mask. However without a SSID it seems to me specifying an IP is a mute point.

I realize now my comment above is only true if the printer was connected wirelessly. Since we hard wired of course it knows what network to connect to.

My guess is either the printer needs to have the subnet mask configured before it will work. Unless it assumes a Class C network, but I don't know if it does that by default.

It would seem so from this Youtube video:

Ricoh Copier DHCP Wi-Fi Network Router Settings (in Urdu)

It's not in English, but you'll get the idea.

You are sure the Ethernet cable is a known good one, right? When you plug the Ethernet cable into the router, does an LED light up, indicating the LAN port detects a device was connected?

I saw this video before but dismissed because I could barely understand anything he said.

I rechecked the printer and whether I choose Specify or Obtain for the IP address I see the subnet task is 255.255.255.0.

As for the cable, I had the same thought when I went to use it for the first time, so before I unwound the entire thing I checked it on my laptop, and was able to get connected, so the cable is good. Also as you mentioned the green light illuminates on on the printer. I might have to see if I can get someone from Ricoh to come have a look. Not sure if they even support such an old model.

Pictures speak louder than words. I suggest you take a photo of the LCD screen in the IP settings, and post it here.

Generally, all Ethernet client devices and network gear (Switches/hubs/routers) have two, coloured LEDs on them to indicate a proper physical and electrical level connection. These are almost always green and amber.

AVTech: What the Ethernet Port LEDs mean:

https://avtech.com/articles/225/what-the-ethernet-port-leds-mean-on-a-room-alert-monitor/

Are yours lighting up the way they should when a good cable is connected?

Is any type of security set? Maybe it's limiting connection to certain MAC (hardware addresses)?

You'll want to specify the ip.

That is how I had it before and I specified the exact same address and subnet mask.

Have you tried using the USB port? Assuming it's not just for firmware upgrades, and takes output from a computer...

I never setup such a printer, I guess there is no walk through software like on consumer printers?

If I don't reply right away it's because I'm waiting for Windows 10 to Update.

For business and enterprise-grade gear, there are usually videos posted somewhere. Plus they tend to have premium support. I still get great support for my 12 year old Canon Imageclass, cause it's business grade, and it's Canon.

I did light servicing of printers/copiers way back when. The Ricohs were built like tanks. But some of them were cramped. They might have been easier for me to work on had I had tiny hands.

I tried that. I am assuming I need to change the port in the printer properties. I tried changing the port to USB001 and USB002, but it didn't seem to work.

Assuming you're following the instructions, Windows should know to search for network printers on the network, if you're using Ethernet. It should also automatically configure itself appropriately if you're using USB.

I doubt both interfaces are non-working, but anything is possible.
