What is the best Programming Language to develop Point of Sale (POS) Software among Java, C++, C#, .NET and Python? What are the advantages of selected one than others?

There is no 'best language' for most tasks. Language features are not what makes a language more or less appropriate for a given job. The real differentiator is what additional functionality is available to the language. This additional functionality comes in the form of 'libraries'.

For your POS system, you may need some database functionality, so you should evaluate your choice of language based on that criterion.
