win 10 prof - a few days ago computer seemed to be running pretty good; then yesterday, it started taking forever to load any webpages or do any command I gave it; just taking long time even to open something.

havent changed a thing, oh yeah, it has also started dropping my wifi connection quite frequently.  atmc said it wasnt them, of course.......

so, any ideas, particularly on the slow webpage loading or opening of......?  I have Malwarebytes running, in addition to whatever win 10 has already on it.  Malwarebytes runs everyday.....no problems shown.

thanks for any help....

Hello again catsears!

A simple first step would be to restart your modem/router - if you haven't already - just pull the power from it for 30 seconds and plug it back in. Let us know if that makes any difference and we'll dive deeper if necessary!

Do you have CCleaner on your windows 10? I would download it and scan the registry and delete any errors the program finds. I would also clean up your cache through CCleaner.

I figured as much.

Lets dig a little deeper shall we? I'll get you to install Speccy - when opened, click File then Publish Snapshot. Post the URL you're given here so we can take a look.

I would never recommend using a registry cleaner. Not only do they not do much, they can be extremely harmful to your computer.

It should be on the top left corner.

Your window looks like this? There's no Publish Snapshot option in File

I'm so sorry you're having trouble with the program! I would attempt a re-install and try again.

Hi, the comment about ccleaner is not an opinion, it is fact, since avast bought out piriform in 2017 we have seen many instances of this program causing problems and in effect downloading updates without your knowledge.  It's registry cleaner function is poor code and we have millions of instances where it has caused problems, I wrote the original registry (with the help of others) if I thought a registry cleaner was necessary I would have included one. I have no idea how one could be safely written. Anyway it's mute since we made the registry a database it does not need cleaning, errors in the registry cannot be automatically repaired you need to locate them and if necessary remove or change their default values, although most of these errors are caused by bad code, from some downloads.

Use System ninja like most professionals it is the safest cleaner. It does not have a registry cleaner.
