Have you tried to reset internet explorer?

I assume you are reluctant to do as I suggest due to my number of post.

Your choice but resetting IE would be the first logical step. :)

FiredUpice...Not yet. Not that I doubt your suggestion, I really appreciate your help and have it in reserve. I was just waiting for Chris's further instructions before going onto yours, if needed, and which I was very grateful to get from you. In fact while in the process of downloading Adware Cleaner and running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware I got your post. I definitely will reset internet explorer and follow your advice if that's what I have to do the get this darn thing resolved that's what I'll do. Thanks again, I really do appreciate your advice and help, B1.

Ok, but post count does not represent skill set.

Gotcha... I never have considered post count when asking for help. As long as someone comes through with a sincere willingness to help with a solution is all that matters to me. Post count doesn't make it with me, 5,000+ and no solution is still zip, so I know what you mean. Thanks again, B1.

Firefox is way out of date. Update it. Then while Firefox is open download updates for Adobe Flash. Pay attention while

running the installer and UNcheck offers of other software.

After doing the above....open whatever it is that requires Flash. Firefox will show a window in which you will have to choose to allow Flash

Firefox blocks Flash until you do that for security reasons.

Bert1, I am wondering. Which website is it with the videos you are having trouble viewing in Internet Explorer 11? And was video playback working with the website in question before? I haven't seen anybody ask you that, and it may be key to getting playback working properly, if at all.

Oh, and if possible, could you post the web address of a webpage with a video you've been unable to see?

BeigeBochs, Thanks for your input. It isn't any one particular website, it's all of them I am having problems viewing. It's been having problems for quit some time now, I don't try using  it that often, but along time ago it did work fine. Thanks again, B1.

You may have missed my post #20.

If after following those instructions and you still have a problem uninstall Flash by following the

directions in the link below. Once you have done that, updated Firefox and downloaded Flash while using the Firefox Browser,

then click on the Flash installer that is either in your downloads or Documents folder and install Flash.

Uninstall Flash Player for Windows

If you can now play flash videos then close Firefox and open IE if it is the latest updated IE.

Download Flash while IE is open. Install it. Pay close attention during install and uncheck offers of other software.

Buddy215,

Thanks for your response. I don't use Firefox, hardly at all, maybe once or twice a year and then for a very limited period of time when I do. And Adobe Flash is current, in fact I just uninstalled and reinstalled it a few days ago to see if that would solve the problem to no avail. Thanks again, B1.

You may have missed my post #20.

Probably because your post was about Firefox and not Internet Explorer.

Bert1, I would actually recommend you switch to using a different browser from Internet Explorer since Microsoft is discouraging all Windows users from using the old browser. But if you insist on sticking with it and are not interested in getting Firefox updated and working, I would recommend uninstalling Firefox and keep it from getting anymore stagnant on your computer.

Another idea on what the problem could be in Internet Explorer: check your Internet Zone setting in Internet Options. It should be at "Medium-High". If it is set to High, that could be keeping video from working in your Internet Explorer.

buddy215, After writing my post #24 I saw your post #23. Should I just uninstall Firefox as I use it so seldom and forget about it and  your last instructions. I don't know what Firefox has to do with Internet Explorer, but then I don't know much to do with computers. Thanks for your help. B1.

Did you use the flash uninstaller I linked to? Be more specific in your responses.

I still suggest you follow my directions for Firefox. That will help to determine if it is an IE problem and not a Flash problem.

Firefox is installed and way out of date...a serious security lapse.

NO...Update Firefox...my goodness that takes less than minute. Simply click on Help and then click on About Firefox...update.

As I said in my last post #27.

Answer the question in my post #27.

No I didn't. I uninstalled it about a week or 10 days, or more before I got your directions. But to the best of my recollection it was the same process as the uninstaller you linked to.  I hope this is a little more specific responsive under the circumstances, (being so inexperienced and dense I am in these PC matters). I'll try to do better to the best of my ability in the future.

I'll get back to you when I finish your directions on Firefox, although I use it so seldom, I'd just as well uninstall it completely for the amount of time I use it,  Also, Flash says I have the latest Flash version, 32.0.0.223 installed and the latest for IE 11 version 11.0.44 (kb4025252) Product ID 00150-20000- 00003-AA459, for your information if needed, Thanks again, B1.
