thats why it says 32gb i remember the back saying 32gb slave which its set to, the other slave setting was diasable auto spin up. i think i will get a 20gb drive for the slave and use this 80gb one for another computer. thank you for all the help. i will try partitioning and formating the computer when im next back at girlfriends house.

If you just remove that 32GB jumper you should find the whole 80GB drive is available. But you need to do this before you partition or format it.

i decided to put a different hard drive in there in the end which was preformated so computer found it straight away. thank you for all the help as it will help me out when i stick the hitachi in my new comp ive decided to build
