It’s depending upon how you want to use iPod. If you want to watch movie then go for iPod nano 3rd Generation, if you want handy sets then iPod shuffle will be best, for music surely iPod classic will be good. Like you want to listen music then I think iPod classic is a good choice.

i use iPhone to stream music, but it drains the battery.
This is what I recommend and love:
iPod nano 6th gen. 16gb or 32 if you can find it.
I wear it on my wrist. it has many functions including watch faces and touch screen. I don't think Apple makes this model anymore (yay Apple. not). I like it so much that i will probably buy another one elsewhere as a back up. There are many watchbands from casual to 'rawk', fashion to business, fine leather or expensive stainless. Best part is the size. And, I never drop it.
