I was gonna say I smell troll. But changed my mind. I was mentally drained from all the posting yesterday. If anything quite a lively disscussion. Also {Insight} is the sister publication of the { Washington Times} So I guess you can take it from there.

So lets see, since Kerry might not have deserved three Purple Hearts, I should vote for a guy who deserted as soon as the Texas Air Natl. Guard started drug testing. All based on an article from a magazine owned by a guy who thinks he's the messiah (Sun Myeung Moon). What a testimony to the power of mind control.

Cant we just agree? ... No matter who wins they will have there up side and down side. Well maybe Bush has more down side's than kerry but bush is getting better at reading so I heard. They had to order Hooked on Phonic's and they say it's working!

Swift Boat Vetrans Ok, I will admit not knowing about the Sun Myeung Moon connection. And am quite shocked! Thank you, I certainly would not knowingly endorse Moon. But the fact of the matter is that the (Swift Boat Veterans For Truth) does indeed excist. I agree that Bush wasn't excactly a gung ho soldier eiether. But fanagling ones way out of service is not to be admired. Although since Kerry was not a team player the armed forces did not need his kind after all. It is just as well. What I despise is the fact that he is parading his term of service out on the campaign trail. As if he is some kind of hero. Which is disrespectfull of all of the true heros our Armed Forces have. Four months does not constitute a term by any stretch of the imagination. The men who did serve and risk thier lives, came back to a country that treated them so very badly. Meanwhile Kerry was protesting the war. Now some 30 odd years later, he is a War Hero??? War Hero I think not, manipulative I think so.

Kerry was a hero according to men he served with, but thats not his point in contrasting his service with Bush's avoidance of service. The point is that he knows the reality of war and thus would never lie to soldiers as Bush has repeatedly. Bush promised the soldiers that were in the invasion that they would be relieved after the invasion. They were not. Then every time their tour of duty ends, he extends it. He also proposed cutting combat pay and veterans benefits and has forced them to ask to be tested to determine if they are contaminated with depleted uranium , a weapon of mass destruction that has killed 10,000 Gulf War 1 vets so far. These are some of the reasons soldiers hate him so vehemently, he has exploited them and betrayed them. There are other reasons so many retired Generals and other military and inteligence professionals support Kerry. Look beyond the corporate media's cheerleading and see why you should too.

The (Swift Boat Veterans For Truth).. Corporate Media? These are men who served w/ Kerry. And want the truth to be out. This link brings up a page of letters to Kerry, signed by men who served directly w/ him. Im not saying that Bush is perfect. I disagree w/ some of the things he does. There are days that Im not so sure about him eiether. But all in all, I feel that these Veterans are not to be taken lightly. Who are the men he served with that regard him as a hero. These letters show otherwise. He went in took film (for campaign use in future) grabbed 3 Purple Hearts and went home in 4 months. Then protested the war, (threw away his medals(or did he?) Now he is a war hero? C'mon. I guess these Vets are just talking just to hear thier heads rattle. I was raised in the Military and Ill take these men's side over a false, posturing war hero any day. Bush or no Bush. SwiftVets_LettersToKerry
