I have more than 10 yeas asp.net and vb.net with SQL database experiences.

I created a lot applications for web and windows.

Do I need to learn and use Python for application?

What benefits will get if using Python in Visual Studio?

If you are talking about the benefits, then it will be easy for you to call a function with different arguments and can add a value to a list that’s been passed into a function.

You can Code completion with IntelliSense and Debugging support at the same time.

The main thing is that you can automatic use of conda and virtual environments Code snippet and Unit testing support. If you want more detailed benefits then check this https://devblogs.microsoft.com/visualstudio/why-write-python-in-visual-studio/#intellisense-is-actually-pretty-helpful

Python has its own fanbase, you can implement python codes any where else as well. Once check the basic python tutorial and implement in visual studio you will then find your answers regarding python.

Unless your employer is telling you you must learn Python, no you do not. It is definitely not required for Visual Studio and not for any Microsoft technology. Visual Studio supports Python but not fully.

The Python language actually was not well-planned. I tried to like Python but there are too many inconsistencies and such. The C++ and C# languages were better designed.

If you are looking for some Python to begin, IronPython https://ironpython.net/ integrates Python with .NET and is incorporated into Visual Studio.
