Hi. I am Steve. Recently my support had an issue with an old app. The app all the years (10 years) up to last month has no issue on process and posting transaction. But this month, user perform same process but during posting, the system only allow 19 trans for posting. We try to debug the date or any funny characters on data due to error 3421 but to no avail. We tried to post additional 1 trans, the error popped up. Any idea on Access Database? The programmer left and no source code.

Hi,

It's difficult to say specifically what the problem is without a knowledge of what your system does/how it is designed.  Based on the error "Data type conversion", is it possible that erroneous user/external input was recently added to a database table field (e.g. text in a numeric field, etc?)

If nothing in the table data seems out of place and you're not able to migrate from this old Access system, without the source code you'll likely need to do some debugging (or hire a specialized consultancy firm to do so).
