Hi all, I've a problem with  bsod. Everytime I try to play a game (warframe) I get a bsod with this error: system_service_exception (msrpc.sys). I tried to reinstall my os 2 times but I have always the same problem.. I've installed only all essencial software and drivers. Like keyboard and headset, gpu driver, steam/origin and discord. I also have another problem with fifa 19 and other software, like chrome or discord, randomly crashes without any error..  These are my specs:

MotherBoard: Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3

Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V series 16gb 3000mhz (set at 2933 with xmp profile)

Cpu: Ryzen R7 1700 3.2Ghz (with a Deepcool Captain 360 EX)

Gpu: Palit 1080 ti gamerock premium edition (stock, without oc)

Psu: Sharkoon SilentStorm Icewind 750W ATX

My os is installed on a m.2 by kingstone, and I also have an ssd by samsung and an hdd.

I already made a thread on the official microsoft forum but they didn't solved my problems.. These are all my dumps and useful files.

2 dumps file and msinfo: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnJjHhnyTFOcglFbiF0iItze5E4O

dump file after a bsod using driver verifier (turned off all ms drivers) : https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnJjHhnyTFOcglIeFuOTvnywekxE

I already tried to uninstall my void's driver and try with an older one or just reinstall a new one. But tonight, while I had fifa 19 open and discord I got another blue screen.. This is a new dump file:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnJjHhnyTFOcglN87snApL7NDgTN

I also tried to format everything and install w10. Now my version is 1809 17763.253

Thank you to who's gonna help me :)

Generally, msrpc.sys related errors are to do with device drivers.

I know you've said that you've reinstalled Window 10 twice, but did you download and install the Chipset Driver kit from the Gigabyte Support site? That's actually quite important to do - ensure you grab the latest driver package available for Windows 10 and install all of them. What you may think may not be needed, may well be for a reason you're unaware of, as some drivers interact with others and can affect behavior and performance. I've had instances where just installing the entire Mainboard driver package fixed errors on a number of computers I've worked on.

Once the above is done, I would also recommend uninstalling your GPU and all associated software and drivers, including the related .INF files. Restart Windows 10 and let it use its generic graphics drivers. Now download the latest stable (not beta) driver package for your GPU from the card manufacturer's support site and install those too. Restart Windows again and then test to see if that cures your BSOD problems.

I would also recommend checking your RAM for any intermittent faults which may have developed using something like MemTest86 by PassMark Software. An excellent tool that often shows up intermittent memory-related errors other tools fail to trigger. The free version should be sufficient for your needs.

Finally, ensure your mainboards BIOS is fully up to date with any available patches. Necessary with recent builds of Windows 10 on some machines.

If all of the above fails to cure the problem, I'd be getting in touch with the WarFrame game support folks.

Hope that's helpful.

Regards, Andrew

Thank you for the reply, I already tried to uninstall and install everything but doesn't work. The first thing I install after a format is the chipset driver and then the GPU one. I had the latest bios version, but I downgraded it because a lot of people had problem with last update.

No worries, but also test your RAM AngeryBirb. It's something that needs to be ruled out.

Apart from those suggestions, the only thing left is to blame the game itself to my mind. Either that or try a different GPU if you have access to one.

Unfortunately I don't have another GPU.. I'm gonna test the ram with memtest tonight. It's a problem if I test them together? Or I have to test just one stick
and then make another test with the other one?

In the meanwhile I made another test with driver verifier.. At the boot I got a bsod with "gdrv2.sys". Tonight I'm gonna make a memtest with both ram stitck, tomorrow I'll post back the result.

I usually start by testing with all sticks installed and then remove one or the other if I get an error.

ok thank you for your reply.. After this driver verifier I'm thinking that is a possible a motherboard problem.. Because with the first test I had a bsod caused by corsair driver, and now by another one.. Before this psu I had one with less power (550wat) and also another gpu, then I bought the 1080ti (with the 550w psu) I had problems with freeze caused by psu (I think)... So I hope isn't a mobo problem, or I have to buy a new one..

ps: sorry for my awful english

Hi AngeryBirb,

The following are a bit of a concern, however, I'm not skilled enough to interpret the seriousness of the errors, or if they are anything to be concerned about at all. The errors seem to all be related to CPU related tests and not to the actual RAM modules. Read the following article for more info: https://www.memtest86.com/troubleshooting.htm

If the article I linked above doesn't make much sense to you, then I would suggest contacting Passmark Software Support for help in interpreting those error reports and what they mean.

Or post in their forums available from the same support link.

However, given those errors, I would now also suggest one final test for you to run.

Download and install the trial of BurnInTest - this is software I have used for years (though mine is commercially licensed) however the trial should do for your needs.

Run the tests on CPU, VIDEO, and RAM (let me know if you need help in configuring the tests and I'll provide step by step instructions)

The trial will only allow a continuous run of 15 minutes at a time, which often isn't enough time to force a fault, so run the tests two or three times in succession. The reports it gives are much more user-friendly and are easier to understand than what MemTest reports.

Let me know how you go.

Regards, Andrew

I've downloaded the software (and also posted on their forum), I've activated "cpu, 2d graphic and ram" with 50. is it right? or I have to change it?

Test result: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnJjHhnyTFOcgldYOn7p-NhZpWDg

2 passed, one with 2d graphic and the other one with 3d.

The results look fine to me AngeryBirb, however, I suggest you retest with the settings as I've highlighted in the screenshot below.

I'm still on v8.1 with my licensed copy, however, the menu items "should" be the same.

Click Configuration > Test Selection & Duty Cycles... to bring up the following configuration window.

Set as shown below (I've highlighted the tests you want to run with yellow highlights - drag sliders all the way to the right on them so they show 100) and then click Run to run all tests at the same time.

No need to share your results unless you get anything other than a "Passed" result. Do at least 2 runs and let me know if you get any errors.

Hope that's helpful.

Regards, Andrew

These are my settings, everything at 100. Made 2 test without any error.. Btw my gpu was at 11% during the test, while cpu and ram were at 100%.

I've had ample years of experience with PassMark BurnInTest to trust the results of its tests, so I would say your hardware is fine.

This points back to driver issues and you'll need help further help with the BSOD error codes than I'm able to give sorry. There are folks at Bleeping Computer that are much more experienced with diagnosing those dump files than I am so I'd suggest you ask for further help in that forum. Suggest you post for additional assistance here:

Windows Crashes and Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Help and Support

Mention all the steps we've gone through in this topic as it will likely save the experts there suggesting you do similar tests again.

Sorry that I can't be of further help here, but BSOD errors are not my forte` if I can't identify a hardware fault I'm afraid.

Good luck.

Regards, Andrew

Edit: BTW - the high CPU and Ram values you got is normal. Burnintest is designed to stress everything to the max to force a fault.
