Just in time for the holidays, if your looking to fill your time watching movies such as Hackers, the Rocky series, and Terminator, you can do so for free on YouTube.

Starting in October, YouTube added 99 ad-supported movies to the site that users can watch for free. While the list of free movies does not include many blockbusters, there are quite a few that are not only amazing but also cult classics. For example, there is Rocky I-IV, Terminator, Throw Momma from a Train, and Hackers.

Some of the more quality picks that are available include:

  • Hackers
  • Rocky Series
  • The Terminator
  • Bio-Dome
  • Throw Momma from a Train
  • Four Wedding and a Funeral
  • The Man in the Iron Mask
  • Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
  • Saved

The free movies are supported by advertisements that will appear as prerolls and banners at the the bottom of the video. There will be approximately 9-13 advertisements shown during a movie depending on its length. The longer the movie, the more ads that will be displayed.

Unfortunately, this service is not available for everyone and certain geographic regions are blocked from viewing the free movies. In a brief test, these free movies are not available in France, Germany, Span, or the Czech Republic, but are available in Japan, the UK, the Netherlands, Australia, and Mexico.

If your region is blocked you will receive a message stating that it is unavailable in your country as shown below.
