Microsoft is busy this week squashing bugs as they pump out two October 2018 Update candidates in the same week. Today Microsoft has released Windows 10 Build 17760 (Redstone 5) for Insiders in the Fast Ring.
Microsoft is getting really close to finalizing this build as is evidenced by the fixing of known bugs and not having any open known issues left! Due to this, I am expecting the Redstone 5 branch to move to RTM soon and then out to users in early October.
As part of this build Microsoft has also announced that the Windows Compatibility Team has stated that all major Tencent games are compatible with the Windows 10 October 2018 update.
"The Windows Compatibility Team is pleased to announce that the Windows 10 October 2018 Update will be fully compatible with all major Tencent games," stated the Windows 10 build 17760 announcement. "Game compatibility can be challenging due to the complexity of the games and reliance on anti-cheat services. We’ve done this by partnering closely with Tencent to test these games, investigate issues and produce fixes. Our hard work has paid off: we are pleased to say that this will be a successful release for our shared customers! We encourage all game developers or partners that produce anti-cheat software to reach out to us so that we can ensure compatibility for your products as well."
Some of Tencent's more notable games include ArcheAge, Arena of Valor, CrossFire, Dungeon Fighter Online, League of Legends, and PUBG Mobile.
Other than that, below is the list of bugs fixed in this release.
