Microsoft is currently working hard to update the new modern Skype 8 with all necessary features as the company plans to end support for Skype Classic on November 1. Today, Microsoft announced that the Split View mode is now available in Skype preview for Windows 10.
Split View mode is available in Skype preview version 188.8.131.52 for Windows 10 and you'll need to join the Skype Preview program to get this update. You can enable it from the three dots (...) menu and once you do that, the app would open any conversations in independent windows. If you would like to try out Skype features before everyone else, you can join the Insider program by following the below steps:
Microsoft is also working on several other improvements for the Skype app. In August, Microsoft revealed that the Skype app will receive status improvements, ability to change font and more. The Skype team is listening to the community and you can share your feedback on Skype ideas website or tweet to Skype Insider Twitter handle.
