Office

Microsoft has just announced a new and large update for Office desktop for Windows. This update is rolling out to the Office Insiders and it bumps the productivity suite to version 1808 (Build 10730.20030). The updated version of Office is available for Insiders enrolled in the Monthly Channel (Targeted) level, which is also known as Insider Slow.

With this latest update for the Office productivity suite, Microsoft has added a new feature to Outlook email client that would prevent attendees from forwarding your meetings to others.

You can find the change log for this update below:

  • Outlook: The update comes with a new feature that lets you block attendees from forwarding your meetings to your friends or colleagues. To get started, go to the ribbon and click Response Options.

  • Access: The new and improved Linked Table Manager lets you manage all data sources and linked tables.

  • Project: You can now customize the Task Board cards to show all the important details.

  • Visio: It can now automatically add shapes and metadata to a Word document so that you can customize it and create "process guidelines" or "operation manuals".

  • Visio: Microsoft has also added 26 new stencils with icons for faces, analytics, celebration, arts, sports, and more.

In a support page, Microsoft explains that you'll receive the new Office update for Windows only if you're enrolled in Monthly Channel (Targeted) level. Office Insider builds are released for all platforms once a month with new features and improvements.
