At a press event yesterday, Acer unveiled the new Aspire R 14 convertible laptop and the Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one.  Both devices will be available in certain markets by the end of the year and  use the latest Intel CPUs and touchscreen technology.

Aspire R 14

Acer Aspire R 14

The Aspire R 14 is a convertible laptop that allows you to turn the screen into tablet mode or rotate it 180 degrees so others can easily view it.  This laptop is 18.5mm thin and only weighs 3.5 pounds and can be customized with the latest Intel 6th-generation processors, up to 8GB ram, and SSD Storage.  An interesting feature of this laptop is the BluelightShield, which reduces blue spectrum emissions to comfort your eyes. The Aspire R 14 will be available in late October in North America starting at $699 USD.

Aspire Z3-700

The Aspire Z3-700 is a 17.3" touchscreen all-in-one PC that is also being marketed as a portable device.  The Z3-700 is only 15.6 mm thin, weighs 4.4 pounds, and had retractable kickstands so that you can carry it to different locations.  It also contains a built-in 5 hour battery backup so that you can use it anywhere; even locations without an electrical outlet.  The Z3-700 can be customized with Intel Pentium or Celeron processors, up to 8GB ram, and choice of SSD and mechanical hard disks. This device will be available by the end of the year in Europe starting at €599.
