Solid State Drive
Also known as SSD
Definition Sold State Drives, or SSD drives, are storage devices that do not use any movable parts and consist of flash memory that stores your data. Due to the speed of accessing data from memory, rather than searching for it on a mechanical device, SSD drives perform faster than their mechanical hard disk drive counterparts.
