I'm having problems using Wine... I installed my game, (I know I did it right because the installer completed and there is an icon in my applications menu. But when I try to run the game by clicking on the icon, it's like nothing happened! The drive doesn't spin (the game CD is in the drive), and no matter how long I wait, it doesn't start. Can someone help please?

Using Ubuntu Feisty.

try looking here:

also, have you tried bringing up a terminal and typing "winecfg" (without the quotes) some games in wine require that you configure wine for them. Also, there is a huge apps library, some have dtails how to get them to work properly. WINE takes some effort, sometimes, a lot of effort, other times, no effort....
If someone tells you to su rm -rf /
