I could be completely ignorant, don't hesitate to tell me if I am, but I believe the XP Pro built in pop-up blocker is blocking my email alerts from Microsoft Outlook. I have two computers, one is running Windows 2000 one is running XP pro. Both are set to show an alert for new messages but the one of XP pro doesn't work. With both of the email programs set up the same way to show the email alerts...I'm at a loss, unless XP Pro is blocking it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In Internet Explorer go >TOOLS>OPTIONS>PRIVCEY> bottom of page uncheck POPUP BLOCKER. You can set the sensitivity if you wish to play with it. Hope this helps.
