Hello everyone,
I recently noticed that my animated cursor/ or any cursor was not working, so i checked c:\Windows\cursors. All the cursor files were boxes--i clicked on quite a few & windows Xp brought up boxes that said that it cannot open/read the file--any cursor file. I tried sfc/scannow & it said "Windows cannot find "sfc/scannow" make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search". Which i did, search could not find it either. I tried regsvr32 user32.dll & it said: "user32.dll was loaded, but the dll register server entry point was not found. This dll file can not be registered. What is wrong? what can i do to get the cursor files back? I did scans with a squared free, avg free, adaware 2007 and spybot--they didn't find anything.

You need to leave a space or the command will not be recognized. sfc /scannow
