Surfing The Web Anonamously

My question is a straight foward and simple one ...

Is there a way to surf the web anonamously using firefox without using proxies ?

If yoy mean proxy software, the answer is yes. You can use one of the many web based proxies. Some of them are free and they need no installation. You can read more here.
(The people behind these proxies are for the right to anonymity, however if they discover that you use their web proxy to comit crime, many of them will turn you in. )
