I imagine this is a simple setting adjustment as well, but presently when I click on google or a forum such as this one they all open minimized and I continually have to hit the Max icon in the upper right???

Is there something that I am missing here that could speed up my process and get me into the full screen Mode??
Again thankyou for your time and I look forward to suggestions.
Cheers with kind regards.

Next time you open it....maximize it, then go to File > Close....then reopen and see if it is at max.

Hi 'booker t' I had the same problem as you with IE6. I was advised to download this small 412 KB software. It fixed my minimised Web Page Problem,Permanently. This problem with IE6 is fairly common I was told.May have to allow popups.Hope this helps.

Yes, that is the way it is supposed to work.

IE "remembers" the size you last opened it and should re-open exactly the way you last used it.

Hmmm... for forums, I have tried File "Exit" and "Close tab", each on separate occasions and still get the same result. The forums all of them open in Minimum.
The better halfs notebook all open in Maximum including "Google".????

Could you explain this further?

If you already have a maximized window, and you choose "bleepingcomputer.com", or type it in the "URL" space, the window shouldn't change size. Are you saying it does?

How are you "clicking on Google or a a fourm such as this one"? Do you have them in your "favorites"? Are they on your desktop?

My neigbour said that is one of the annoyances of the xp OS and told me not to maximize the window of the forum, but to drag the minimized window from the corner to the side and it should remain that way.

Thus far it has worked with the Forums, and I am about to try the same for Google.
I thought that I should post this in the event that other members have this problem.

Thankyou for the replies.

There are often a number of ways to accomplish the same thing in Windows,

so if that's working OK for you, then

I wouldn't call that an annoyance though, it's more of a quirk.

Annoyances are much more, uh, annoying.

If the above do not work for you, Maximise the window by physically dragging the sides to the size you want (rather than using the MAXIMISE button), then closing via File/Exit.

Thx for all the patience out there. All of my Forums that I have drung out to the sides and did an "Exit" on including Mr. Google have remained Maximized. However when I do it with BC here it keeps asking if I want all "My Tabs" closed and being illiterate and clicking on other Options of which there are nonte I then click "all my tabs closed" and there is no option in this forum to Exit the File?????

The other Forums and Google are fine???

I am no techie and am confused.

I do the dragging like my neighbour suggested and a prior member and it works for the others but not BC???

Any ideas??
They would be most welcomed, thank  you. :flowers:

The stretching of the Forums and then Exiting via File is still a Quirk as an earlier member mentioned????

Sticks for Google, but for BC I try to Exit from file and it has a Window open up asking me if I want to "close all tabs"< I don't understand what this is but can't do anything until I agree????

Can anyone help????? Thankyou.

If you have multiple tabs (2 or more) open, when you attempt to close IE7, it will ask you if you want "to close all tabs?"

This is to prevent you from accidentally closing all the tabs when you meant to close only the active one. Of course, if your intention is to close IE, then it is just a slight inconvenience to click the "close tabs" button.

Try opening BleepingComputer in only one tab, and let us know it that works.

You have me confused a bit, though -

Are you saying you have multiple tabs open, and some fill the screen and some are in smaller windows? I did not know we could do that with IE7.
