I really want to backup my computer because i would like to kind of 'start again'. I am not worried about losing documents and pictures as i know how to back these up. however i really would like to know where all my msn contacts are saved on my computer so that i can back them up onto a cd or floppy disk.

any help would be kindly appreciated.

MSN Messenger contacts are stored on the server, so that you can sign in anywhere, so there shouldn't be a need to back them up. If you want to be certain, choose Save Instant Messenging Contacts or Export Contacts from the menu, and export them to a disk. (Exact menu title and position vary between versions. Try File for MSN Messenger 7, Contacts for Live Messenger)
