Anti-virus

I'm in the market for a new anti-virus program...have tried Nortons (hated),Macfee (ok), Panda(Liked but kept freezing up during scans and turning off when browsing), and my latest, Live one care from Microsoft (OK but felt like I wasn't really safe).

Any suggestions on what and where to try next?

This is a common question, and an important one at that. I think you will find that opinion, as it usually does, varies. See the discussion linked to:

I have used AVGFree for several years, and can recommend it.
