How to burn a cd ?

I'm new here, I bought a PC at x mas 2004 ( a friend installed everything on my PC but now he's gone 1 month on vacations ) & I don'y know '' how to burn a CD ?

For most of you my question sounds stupid but I never did it I'm just starting with my computer, plesae help me.

I know I have Nero installed ( the latest version )

Can someone explain to me step by step how to burn a CD ( a regular CD not the ones you can rewrite ) and is it possible to write again on it example in 1 week ?

You've not said what operating system you are using.

There is an excellent HELP section that comes with Nero. I found a beginner's help at the site below:


Most applications like this will allow you to save to the same disk at different times, as long as you have space and do not "close the session." (see 4 in the instructions above).

I have lots of reading & testing to do ( I know it sounds stupid but this is a first for me )
