My PC shutt down last night after a windows update.

This morning on restart all I got was a blinking cursor.

I tried pulling the plug and leaving for an hour but no results.

If I hit control alt delete , the compaq start up screen flashed for a second.

Any help on how to fix this

Thanks

Tom

How long did you wait at the blinking cursor?

No it does not directly boot to windows.

For a second a Copmaq screen is on.

If I hit esc during the time Compaq is up , I can view my hardware.

If I click on the c drive (maxtor) , then it boots to windows.

I guess there is a problem with the C drive

Thanks
