I accidentally clicked on this link (and some other 'servebeer.com' link that I don't recall) from my MSN messenger and after some research, I think this is some sort of spyware or malware! I got scared because my pc's firewall started giving alerts once in a while that there was a recent hacker attack or ping attack or NetBIOS search or something. It was also noticeable that some programs are running slowly this time. the virus is widespread in Brazil, so the forums I found helpful in removing the spyware/malware are all in Portuguese, which I don't understand. All I know is that the administrator is advising the computer users infected with it to run a scan using HijackThis (I have a copy of the log at home and I haven't 'Fixed") but I did not understand how they resolved the issue coz of the language...the Anti-spyware from the Yahoo! toolbar downloaded last july did not detect anything...I'm also trying to download the Norton Anti-spy from the Yahoo! toolbar to see what it can do...

Is anyone familiar with this type of spyware or malware and what it may do to harm my system? is it possible that a hacker is peeping intomy files or tracking my online transactions? sorry for being pessimistic, I'm just very concerned. HELP!!!

thanks much!!!

Yes it would be best if you posted your HijackThis Logfile for an expert to analyze. You can have that done here at BleepingComputer. Post a fresh HijackThis logfile here...

Also, you are right in not fixing anything yet. Wait until someone who is an expert on the HiJackthis Team to tell you what to fix.
