I'm asking this question for someone else, so information is sketchy at best, but I thought I'd ask anyhow to try to help them out.
I know they are running ME. The only thing they did recently was removing Yahoo Messenger. Now, when they bring up add/remove programs, the list is blank. Any ideas?

Thanks, Keith

You will have to restore a backup copy of your registry as that is where it is stored. they are here
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Current Version \ Uninstall key

>In Windows Me, start from your start-up floppy and select to start your PC without CD-
>When the A:> prompt appears, type c: and press Return
>the C:> prompt appears
>type cd windows\command and press Return
>type scanreg /restore and press Return
>Use the arrow keys and pick the entry that you last had Add/remove
>Press Return to select Restore,to replace the registry
>Press your reset button when C:\ appears,After restart it should be fixed.
