According to the auto update thing, I need word 2002 disc which I don't have. It didn't come with my laptop when I bought it brand new. I can give you the names of the cd's I do have if you think it might be under a different name. Thanks.
When I'm asking for help, please explain, in detail, every step. Thank you :).
I have nightmares about computer glitches and bugs.

The following page contains a section titled "To install SP3 without the original Office XP CD":

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

That page also references the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828451

Note that this Office XP service pack also applies to Word 2002.
