This isn't a problem or anything, but I'm very confused. I checked a few days ago and I only had around 14gb's free hard drive space left. Today after installing a new game mod for half life 2 (Insurgency), which takes up another 1.5gb's, I went to check how much memory I have left and was shocked to find I have 18.3gb's free. I'm not complaining but where does all of this just show up all of a sudden? I haven't deleted anything, no defrag's in a couple months (which reminds me I should do one), and I'm the only one who uses this computer. Any idea's? I'm running windows xp home with service pack 2. The Drive is a Western Digital 80gb with 2mb cache.

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply! Just checked it, and my system restore is still set on max, 12% of my hard drive (8728mb) I should turn that down too since I'm running low on space. Any more idea's?

I thought it might be that SR deleted one or two restore points as a housekeeping move.
