I deleted a user on a computer with 2 sign in Id's so they would just have one. How can I recover the deleted files. I have tried system restore to several points. It restarted and said it couldn't restore.

Hi seamom,

Sorry to advise you that when you delete a User Account, and ignore the message to backup the account's files, those files are permanently deleted from your computer.

To the best of my knowledge, a deleted user account cannot be recovered.

The are third party utilities that can be used to try and recover deleted files.
I cannot vouch for the one below as I have not used it, however it was recommended in a M$ Newsgroup .

A few people I know have had success with this one

The most important thing is to use the machine as little as possible until you try the recovery

Thank you for the help everyone. I did get a data repair program. But it was severl days before she told me her stuff was missing and she uses the computer everyday. So I couldn't get it back for her.
