Hello I'm working on my grandpas computer and no website background colors show up, the text is huge and out of place.
I have tried this on other websites and its the same for ever website:

I have tried this on IE and Firefox Same problem
I have Run Virus Scans with AVG
Spyware scans with Spybot
and Ad-Aware scan

I have looked in the IE preferences didn't see any thing wrong
Checked Internet Options > Accessibility nothing is checked
Cleared Temp Files, Deleted Cookies and Cache
Cant Figure out the Problem any Ideas of what I should do?

Heres a screen shot of Yahoo.com See the text and theres no background color?

Under "view", "text size", what size is the text set for?

If you change it to a smaller size, does it make any difference?

Just wondered if that would help with the text size problem.

I'm not using IE6, which is what that looks like to me, so maybe we need someone that is to see if they recognize the problem.

Are any "accessibility" options (Control Panel) being used on that PC?

Hi daffsbro here's something for you to try.

- Right click in any blank area on the desktop
- Left click on properties
- Left click on settings
- Now, under screen resolution, drag the slide bar to - 1024 x 768 pixels
- Then left click ok

This may work for you, if not, let us know.

Hi, I recently had the exact same problem your dealing with now.
I currently am using windows xp. I know you said you looked in accessibility options but please try this out, it worked for me.
The no background and large text size was due to my high contrast box being checked.
go into control panel
then
accessibility options
then
display
there you should see a checked box that states, High Contrast.
Uncheck this box

Dont forget to click, Apply

I hope this works
Good luck
