Since your problem started with attempting to remove malware it woud be the sensible thing to do to find out if there is still malware on your computer or not. The surest way to do that is post a log as JohnWho advised. Once you are cleared post a new topic in the appropriate forum for your OS if your sound problem is still not fixed.
