I've got a problem that just started happening and can't figure it out. Whenever I put any disk in to play, either a game or music, the computer will not start it automatically. When I try to manually startit from my computer, the system freezes up and will not do anything. I've checked all the connections, defragged, ran syware and McAffee many times, but still nothing seems to solve it. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition, with plenty of memory still left. Like I said, I have both a Cd Rom and Dvd burner/player as well. Any Suggestions?

It seem like either both your ROM are spoil OR your IDE cable might have some problem. Try replugging your IDE cable if not, change to another one and see how it goes.
