Is there a user account called Compaq Administrator?

What are you doing when it says this? Is it every time you start up the computer or only whenperforming a specific task?

Are you trying to the Temp folder?
If using search, set the search to find hidden files and folders-because Local Settings and anything within that folder are hidden.

Another way to try to get to it.
Open up My Computer from your desktop.
At the top of the page, click Tools/Folder Options.

View Tab. Check Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
Click apply, then OK.

From My Computer, open Drive C, then Documents and Settings.
All user accounts will listed there. You may find Compaq Administrator listed. If it is, open up Local Settings.
