It would help those qualified to help you, if you gave some more information. Tell what antivirus software you use, and what infections they may/may not say you have.

And if you havn't already, go here:

and download spybot search and destroy, and ad-aware. Run both those in safe mode and fix whatever they tell you, after updating them in normal windows of course. With ad-aware, you needn't worry about the negligible objects, they shouldn't contain viruses or anything like that. Also, the "tea timer" with spybot is a protection method of your startup programs. A little window will pop up asking you if you want this registry change, the left button is yes, the right no.

Cid can be difficult to remove. I suggest you post a Hijack This log in the Hijack This Forum by following the directions in the link below. DO NOT post the log in this forum.

I know when doing a disk clean i get this message..thing is this never came with a disk...and when i system restore..i get a error
