I have an mdg laptop running windows vista. I am trying to import video from a jvc gr-df550u mini dv camcorder. I am using a 4 pin to 4 pin 1eee 1394 compliant cable. The camera is found instantly, and I can import the video from the tape. While importing the video, the "imported video time" changes very slowly. A 1 hour video show up as only 12 seconds of video on the laptop. When the video is played back it is in super high speed.

The camera records at 60 frames /sec. Windows movie maker seems to only run at 25 frames /sec. Is this the problem or do you thinkit may be a compatibility issue with my ieee 1394 controller?

Please help

Thanks in advance,
