Cut And Paste Files

When I cut/copy a file and trying to paste it in some other folder, if that folder is already open then this file is getting copied, But if that folder is not open and If i open the destination folder and then trying to paste this file, there is nothing to paste.(it has lost the copied file).....so whay this is happening and How I get rid of this?

Are you sure that the destination folder is the same one as the one that you're looking at to see if it pasted properly? I'd suggest a search of your hard drive for this file to see what other locations it's been copied to.

FWIW - the other day we did a backup for a guy. He took it home and came back complaining that he couldn't find his stuff on his Desktop. After working with him I found that he was looking at a different Desktop folder than the one in his primary profile.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
