Just wondering about the new sound cards that are 24 bit, do they improve the sound that much ? also if they are 24 bit I was wondering what my motherboard would be with the audio integrated into it. How could I find out? Oh ya and what does bits even mean? I have the Everest program that tells you all the specifications about your computer but I don't even know where to look to find the audio quality of my computer....

There is a difference in sound quality can be significant but for somepeople they may never notice the difference. For a technical explanation of 24bit read this:

Your motherboard manual or system manual should tell you the specifications of your sound card
