Hi all, had reason to check my device manager the other day when i noticed that I have 2 listings under processor for the same chip. Also under ATA/ATAPI I have 2 of everything. Is this a problem ?

XP SP2 Pro
MS Office 2003
2x512mb ram
P4 3.0
2 HDD, main 80gb, secondary 160gb
gigabyte MB

Generally this isn't an issue - but are you experiencing any problems?
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

No, no problems at all. aside from the odd windows generated " an error has occurred, we're sorry but this application has to close" type thing which i attributed to a bad microsoft update and /or some rogue malware. Did the usual scans and solved that issue. I'll live with the duplicate entries and thanks USASMA for easing my mind.
