Why I Can Play Wmv File On Windows 98

does anyone knows, why wmv isnt working in win 98, maybe i should got any program to fix that, i have xvid codec installed,and bs player also ,but wmv dont play, any ideas?

I play wmv files with Windows Media Player 9.0 on my Win98se. What version of WMP are you running? You can download version 9.0 or less for Win98. Or you can download it of M$ :thumbsup:


Windows ME (spare computer)
Windows XP 2002 Professional SP3 (desktop computer)
Windows 7 Professional SP1 32bit (laptop computer)

Windows 8 64bit spare drive for laptop computer

Like Keithuk said you should probably update you WMP. Also have you tried using Media Player Classic?
