I have this browser hijacker about:blank Home Search Assistant and adware pop ups containing "Only the best". I am not sure how to get rid of it. I believe there are other things associated with this hijacker including Shopping Wizard and Search Extender. Everytime I click on Internet Explorer, About:blank, Home Search appears as the default homepage. I saw the tutorial on Bleeping Computer but I am not sure if I am going about this problem the right way. Does anyone have good success in knowing how to get rid of this effectively? I don't know the best method of getting rid of this. It appears from reading different topics there are many opinions out there. Please Help.

Create a directory on your hardrive, to save HijackThis.exe, called c:\hijackthis. This is a mandatory step, for the backup and restore functions, of HijackThis, to be able to work.

Download the latest version, from here.
