Ok.

Over the past week I had some problems with the computer, so I thought "boot up, save all docs".

Well, now I cant get past the inital "windows XP screen" (actaully I think its the Intell screnn, and in the corner it says boot from disc=F10

I tried starting and pressing F8 (what my boss said). nothing.

Can anyone give me any direction as to get it working ONE last time so I can get my documents?

Help please!

Go into your BIOS and see if your hard drive appears there. What type of problem have you had of late.

Hi Moderator.

I am not a novice when it comes to computers, but Your a BIT over my head. I dont know how to acess the BIOS.

The computer has been acting funny where it wont boot up. If I turn it off then tap f8, THEN it will work. This happened about 2-3 times.

Then the computer was booting up fine, about 5 more times.

Then last night, all I got was the "Intel" screen.

Now, this morning, I get nothing. The laptop turns on, and the screen is black. The Hard drive lights for about 20 seconds, then stops.

If you tell me to acess the BIOS< I can. Liek I said , I know enough about computers, but im no expert.

Thanks!
