Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the forum, so, "hello"

I also have a problem I hope somebody can help with.
Everytime I boot my computer the MSN sign in page pops up, after closing the window, about 30 secs later, it pops up again....and on and on. I have to minimize the window to get any work done. It's driving me crazy!!!
I'm fairly certain that I have no viruses or spyware, and I've tried Microsoft's online help with no affect.

Has anyone else experienced this problem??
How did you fix it??

Thanks in advance. :thumbsup:

If this is MSN Messenger, go to Outlook Express.
Options/General/uncheck "automatically log on to windows messenger."
If you are referring to something else please reply,
Regards,
John

It's not MSN messenger, that disappears when I close it and never comes back.
It's the MSN explorer sign in window.

I do appreciate the help, Thanx

Voltimus, welcome.

:thumbsup:

I've found that by default,
winXP will choose msn sites
for both search & start pages,
not to my liking.

I use Internet Explorer-->tools-->internet options->homepage to
change one (to google) which loads completely in one tenth the time.

I use Ad-Aware Messenger Control Plug-in to tame the messenger.

I use SpyBot S&D 1.3 Advanced Mode-->tools-->Browser Pages
to calm the search pages down a little (using google)

That may or may not answer your question.
I also have Firefox as my default Browser.

Start Menu-->set program access & defaults should also help.

Your windows version?
patiently patrolling, plenty of persisant pests n' problems ...

I'm using XP home edition.

I'll definately give your solutions a try, and I appreciate the input. :thumbsup:
