Whenever I double-click on the link to run the Sims 2 Seasons, which I bought and downloaded online of EA Link, I get the error that says: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. I've already gone to EA Games and they said it might be something wrong with my computer. Any help is appreciated!

Have you tried opening the game from the All Programs menu as well? If not try that and let us know how you make out.

When I put my mouse over the folder in all programs, it said that it was empty. I have also tried opening it by going directly to the file in explorer.

Check the security permissions on the game folder. See what gives. If all else fails you can always uninstall and reinstall the game.

I right-clicked on the folder and it said it was read-only, so I unchecked it and tried to run it. No success though, I still get the same error message.
