To backup sensitive large files remotely, I use Axantum's Axcrypt software to encrypt them, and then I upload them to MediaMax. Downloading them again is a slow and tedious process.

Instead of using MediaMax, is it ok to encrypt them and then use Pando to email the files to myself? Or would this be less secure?

Thanks for the help!

It would be far more secure to save these sensitive files to disk- - - avoiding internet transmission completely- - - and store these in a safe place. It would be optional to encrypt them.

Thank you. I will avoid internet transmission in future.
