I had spycrush slowing down my computer so I visited this site and saw in another thread that someone knew how to get rid of it. Using Smitfraudfix in the safe mode, I was able to clean my registry and hopefully disinfect my computer. The ZlobActiveXObject does not show up when I scan my computer now which is good. However, one thing I have noticed is that when I start up windows, the Spycrush icon appears in the start up tray and then quickly disappears. Have I really disinfected my computer or is the spyware tricking me? Is it not safe to look at banking information on this computer if I have an infected computer? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Super Antispyware has been successful in removing Spycrush. It will probably finish off what Smitfraudfix started.
It is a good idea to use it to find what else may have got installed on your computer while the trojan was active.

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

I also have been infected with the Spylock/SpyCrush virus. This happened once before and I was able to remove it using SmitFraufFix (in safe mode). However, this time around I ran SmitFraudFix several times and I'm still seeing the icon in the tray and the System Alert popup still shows up.

What else can I try? Why would SmitFraudFix work the first time and not this time?

Thanks

Smitfraudfix was updated by Grinler this morning. You can update your copy and try again and you can use Super Antispyware. The link is in my post above.
