I have been hearing about some of the privacy concerns involved with using google and I was wondering if there are any alternative search engines that are a little more concerned about the privacy of there users.

Also, how are google able to individually identify computers when other sites need to use cookies to keep track of computers.

Thanks for any help that anyone can give me.
