Open up volume control...

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume

Are any of the sliders down or muted?

I found a fix for a similar problem to the one you described on another forum - seems to be pretty common and also related to Flash 9.

:trumpet: Go to www.Free-codecs.com

:flowers: Download the K-Lite Codec pack

 Install the Pack

:inlove: Click on Start

>> All Programs

>> K-Lite Codec Pack

Then click on Configuration -Codec Tweak Tool

Once it opens up click on the button that says Fix Non-Working System Sound.

-------

I hope I could help ya out. Goodluck.

You could try downloading Flash Player again and reinstalling it.
www.adobe.com/shockwave/...n=ShockwaveFlash

Tried any other internet browsers? Firefox or Opera?

Sorry - im all out.

I have the same problem and I'm just as p*ssed off! As well as no sound on videos - eg youtube- I also have no system sounds playing - you know, the sounds assigned to windows events. I've tried the klite codec tweak tool and it doesn't see a problem with system sounds. Different browsers, same problem. Also the registry wavemapper setting in the registry ( msacm32.drv) didn't fix it. Sounds play ok through realplayer etc. Very annoying!
