Hi~~

I am new to this forum, but i am desperate! I have a virus/spyware or something like it on my computer and i just cannot rid myself of it! First a little background on my computer:

Running windows xp sp2 home edition
Norton Antivirus 2006
SpyBot S&D, newest version
Ad-Aware SE personal newest version
Latest version of Mozilla Firefox is my browser

I have updated everything and ran all virus/anti spyware scans and cannot get rid of my problem

here is my problem in detail:

Anytime i connect to the internet, i am bombarded with hundreds of warnings that norton antivirus gives me as it scans outgoing emails. The error it reads is:
"your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the message" and then goes into more specific details of each individual email it tries to send to. its clearly spam/ a virus of some kind, as its sending hundreds of these warnings to me per minute. I have seen fixes for this kind of problem on this website, but cannot find specifically what i must do, as nothing i have done thus far works. Can anyone help me?

This may be of some help, here is the hijackthis log of my computer i took. Any help with be greatly appreciated!! thanks very much
-A. Silver

Hey silver7854

The first and most important step is to disconnect from the Internet. This will stop any spam e-mails being sent and will also stop any more malicious files from being downloaded. That log is from a beta version of Hijackthis I'd prefer it if you would download a 'tried and tested' version. If possible, it would be better if you downloaded everything from a different computer and then transferred it via memory stick to this computer.

Hijackthis Log

Please download HijackThis.exe (by Merijn). Save the file to your desktop. This is a very important step! This ensures Hijackthis stores backups should anything go wrong.

Double-click HijackThis.exe. Select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

Allow Hijackthis to scan your computer. When notepad opens up with your logfile, copy the contents back into your thread.

Hey silver 7854

ComboFix

Please download ComboFix.exe (by sUBs)

Double click ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply.

Note : Do not mouseclick ComboFix's window whilst it's running! That may cause it to stall.
