I am having a problem with my PC and I think that it might be infected with some type of virus. It is often very, very slow whenever I use the internet (IE) or any other computer application (Windows XP Home edition.) The hard drive is constantly running even when the computer is not being touched. It seems like it is being controlled by something other than the person operating it. Please help!

Our Hijack Team recently helped you with malware removal issues.
Did you take a look at the link that was provided to improve speed/system performance after malware removal?
Help! My computer is slow
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.
